The Bulls football team was created in the mid-1900s, but was cut for seven years in the 1970s to focus on other areas in the school.  Today, the Bulls football team has returned stronger than ever.  A record-high 3 players were drafted in the 2007 NFL draft:  Trevor Scott (Oakland Raiders), Jamey Richard (Indianapolis Colts), and Ben Woods (Cleveland Browns).

The Bulls Football team is coached by former Heisman Trophy finalist, Turner Gill.  Coach Gill has been with the Buffalo Bulls football team since 2006 and helped launch the team into Division I play.  In 2007, Coach Gill was elected to be the Mid-American Coach of the Year, bringing even more notoriety to the Buffalo Bulls football team.
