A.J. Principe was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 21, 1988.

As a senior kicker on the St. Francis DeSales High School football team, A.J. Principe was a perfect 44 of 44 on extra points. A.J. Principe’s longest field goal was 48 yards. A.J. Principe was named All-State Honorable Mention and first-team All-League.

In 2007, A.J. Principe became a Buffalo Bulls football player. A.J. Principe set a University of Buffalo record for a kicker with 77 points during his first Buffalo Bulls football season. A.J. Principe had a season long 47 yard field goal at Miami. A.J. Principe was named Sporting News Freshman All-America Honorable Mention and MAC East Special Teams Player of the Week when the Buffalo Bulls played Syracuse at the University of Buffalo Stadium. The 5’8” 154 lbs kicker connected on 32 of 34 PATs in the best freshman season by a kicker in the University of Buffalo history. A.J.
