Jerry Housey lettered three times and was captain for the John F. Kennedy High School football team. As a senior at J.F.K. Jerry Housey had 83 tackles, three forced fumbles, a fumble recovery and an interception. Jerry Housey was named first-team All-Borough, All-State selection and played in the Governor’s Bowl.

In 2007, Jerry Housey became a part of the Buffalo Bulls football roster. Jerry Housey played in six games during his first Buffalo Bulls football season. The 6’0” 244 lbs linebacker also had seven tackles and a tackle for loss while playing at the University of Buffalo Stadium.
