Kendric Hawkins was born on September 29, 1987, and was raised in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Kendric Hawkins played football for DeMatha Catholic High School as a defensive back. While playing for DeMartha Kendric Hawkins was named honorable mention All-State. During his senior year Kendric Hawkins recorded three interceptions and two fumble recoveries and helped his team to a 22-1 record.

In 2005, Kendric Hawkins joined the University of Buffalo Bulls football team and was injured his first year. Kendric Hawkins was one of three players from DeMartha Catholic High School to become a Buffalo Bulls football player. Kendric Hawkins was a redshirted freshman in 2006 and made an immediate impact in the Buffalo Bulls’ secondary team. Kendric Hawkins played in all 12 games during the Buffalo Bulls football season. Kendric Hawkins was ranked fourth on the Buffalo Bulls’ secondary team with 70 tackles. In 2007, Kendric Hawkins became #12 on the Buffalo Bulls roster. Kendric Wilson appeared in nine games during the Buffalo Bulls football season. Kendric Hawkins made a total of 35 tackles and 27 were solo for the Buffalo Bulls football team. Kendric Hawkins will be senior in the Buffalo Bulls upcoming 2009 season.
